Course OverviewThis exciting and creative course is designed for students between the ages of 9 and 15. Working in age groups (juniors 9 -11: seniors 12 -15), students will discover their hidden talents and develop confidence and an understanding of the Theatre. This week long course will introduce them to the essential basics of performing to a live audience. Subject matter will include classical, contemporary and comical acting, dance, movement and singing. Emphasis is on strengthening the human voice and developing improvisational skills which may be adapted to everyday living. This year's theme is 'A history of Musical Theatre', from Cole Porter and Ivor Novello, to Sondheim and Lloyd-webber. on Friday afternoon (4:30 pm), students will perform a 30 minute show, to which friends and relatives are invited to attend.

This course is a great confidence builder and a fun way of discovering hidden talent. Students will finish the week with a new found confidence and a more mature outlook on life. An added incentive is the many new friends they will acquire, as well as a talent to amuse.
