Forum Theatre
This
innovative and exciting training programme has taken the National Health
Service by storm. Now Staff actually look forward to training courses, and
return to their duties with a new found air of confidence and
understanding. Created and run by Social Psychologists and Neuro-Linguistic-Programmers,
the course is supported by a team of professional Actors under the
direction of a West End Stage Director.
Fun
By the
creation of a fun packed environment learners are relaxed and absorb the
learning easily. Through a
series of specially written scenarios, the Actors re-create common
situations and conflict within the work place. Calling on their own
experience, audience members take over the direction of the cast, and
change attitudes and body language until a satisfactory conclusion is
reached. Further dramatic impact involves the splitting of the audience
into two camps of Antagonists and Solutionists. This revealing mechanism
strongly demonstrates the effects of poor customer service, and the
negative chain reaction that can occur; but, more importantly, offers
solutions to the problems, and creates a deep awareness of Customer needs.

Unique
The
phenomenal success of `Forum Theatre’ is due to pre-analysis of the
Client’s requirements, coupled with challenging behaviour models. Pilot
sessions have been held for both, clinical and non clinical staff; with
the programme designed to work in any situation or environment. Due to the
uniqueness of `Forum Theatre’, almost 50 delegates have now signed up to
the Adult Apprenticeship programme to gain a national qualification.
Quality
For
organisations that are seeking to achieve Investors in People and promote
the Skills Pledge, this is a perfect programme as it ensures that the
learning is mapped to the overarching organisational objectives.
